The Lifeblood of the Museum

Without our dedicated staff, docents, volunteers, board and friends, the Drum Barracks could not exist

Docents

Docents play a major role in presenting the Drum Barracks Civil War Museum to the public, as their interpretations give meaning to the stories the Museum has to tell. They have undergone special training to give them information and knowledge about the Museum and its history.

The docent training program is offered annually. If you are interested in becoming a docent to lead tours at the Drum Barracks, complete the Volunteer Form and return it to the Drum Barracks and you will be contacted.

Enjoy the photos of many of our knowledgeable and dedicated docents.
