Local Civil War Round Tables

Civil War Round Tables (CWRT) are independent organizations that share a common objective in promoting and expanding interest in the study of the military, political and sociological history of the American Civil War.  There are several Round Tables in the Southern California area that would welcome your participation.  Please note that while most Round Tables are not meeting in person due to the pandemic, some are offering virtual lectures and discussions.  

Orange County CWRT - Due to Covid-19 the Orange County CWRT is not meeting until further notice.

Pasadena CWRT - The Pasadena CWRT is offering virtual presentations during the pandemic.  For information and participation instructions visit http://pasadenacwrt.org/

We meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month, with some exceptions. Check the presentation list at our website for the exceptions. Meetings start at 7:15 p.m. in the Donald R. The Pasadena Civil War Round Table, aka the Civil War Round Table of San Gabriel Valley, meets monthly in Pasadena to provide a forum for discussion and education about the conflict that so deeply affected the very fabric of our nation.  Our monthly meetings bring to Pasadena many of the leading experts on the Civil War, including noted authors, historians, re-enactors, and Civil War enthusiasts on a wide variety of topics. 

The meetings are free and open to the public. Whether you are just beginning to learn about the Civil War or enjoy a lengthy experience of Civil War study, you will always find something of interest at our monthly meetings. Come join us and experience the thrill of gaining new insights into the conflict that defined our nation. And tell your history-loving friends about us!

The Pasadena Civil War Round Table has no agenda and promotes no single viewpoint. Programs are wide-ranging and focused on any topics pertaining to the Civil War Era.  Membership is open to anyone regardless of race, creed or sex.

The Inland Empire Civil War Round Table (IECWRT) is a non-profit organization open to anyone interested in the American Civil War 1861-65. Founded in 1987, the Round Table is both a setting for formal talks and a forum for informal discussion of topics related to the Civil War.

We meet the second Wednesday of each month (except February, July, and August) from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Lincoln Shrine. The Round Table also publishes a monthly newsletter, The Hardtack.
